MIDI Software

Bring the DJ gear you already own.

Software that reads an existing MIDI controller and turns its decks, pads, faders, and knobs into LiteraryDJ controls.

How It Works

A DJ controller already speaks MIDI. We built an interface that listens to it and turns each control into an input, so anyone can build an app around a DJ controller.

Mapping

Mapping DJ controls to app inputs

The interface reads MIDI from decks, pads, faders, and knobs and turns those signals into inputs an app can use. It can also send light back to the controller.

The controller has no power yet. The supply at the left of the wire is sending a signal that stops at the break. Drag the jumper across the gap to connect it.

An interface for building MIDI apps

We built an interface that turns MIDI signals into inputs, so anyone can make an app that uses a DJ controller. This is a software copy of the Hercules DJControl Inpulse 500, running on the same interface as the real one.
